Living on a cul-de-sac that is back behind a neighborhood with just one way in and out makes for a very quiet front yard. Some afternoons we spend time playing in the street and writing on the driveway.

It’s time for my year in review post. We had a very busy year in 2011. We bought a lot, sold our old home, moved into a temporary apartment, oversaw the construction of our new home at the beach, and finally in November moved in. Whew. You can see our 2010 year in review here. […]
We had a wonderful Christmas today. The kids awoke to find out that Santa had dropped off some toys and filled our stockings. Santa brought Cole some Toy Story Lego sets and Kiley got a doll bed and some new babies.
A few pictures we took tonight after building gingerbread houses and before loading up to go and see some Christmas lights.
Kiley turned 2 on November 3rd and we celebrated with a family dinner at Sweet Tomatoes. She picked out a princess cake and had so much fun opening her presents.
