Lastly, we had time to visit the Museum of Natural History. This was probably everyone’s favorite. They had some incredible exhibits and we easily could have spent days there. Cole loved the “Gems & Minerals” area… or as he liked to call it “the really cool rocks”.
The second day of our trip we headed over to the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum. Cole loved all the airplanes and rockets. It wasn’t very crowded and we had a great time wandering around and looking at all the exhibits.
Last week was Cole’s spring break. We took the opportunity to head up to Washington DC with my Dad for a few days. The weather was cool and a little rainy, but we still had a great time. The first day we visited the Vietnam Memorial and a few other monuments in that area.
Today we visited the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum and the Museum of Natural History. Since we were early for the museums to open we walked across the street to the Federal DOE building, where Jon posed for a picture with out turned pockets. Nice.
