For Mother’s Day I got an Eye-Fi Card and an SD to Compact Flash Adapter (so I could use my Eye-Fi Card). Let me tell you… it has changed everything. This thing automatically uploads my pictures into iPhoto and also to Shutterfly and all I have to do is turn on my camera! No wires, no hooking anything up. There are a dozen or so partners that you can choose for your pictures to be uploaded to. Places like Wal-mart, Flickr, Facebook, Costco and so on. It will be great to use for family gatherings because I can shoot our vacation and then just send everyone the link to my on-line Shutterfly album and they can order their own prints. If you find yourself being in charge all the photography at all your family events you might want to look into getting one. Now that I have the hang of it I might disable the Shutterfly upload and just use it for iPhoto. Then I can re-activate the online portion when I need to. Just like magic… but better.
