We were provided complimentary tickets for Maui Pineapple Tour in exchange for review. All opinions are my own.
In September we took an adult only vacation to Maui for a week of rest and relaxation and to celebrate Jonathan’s 40th birthday. One of the top things on my to-do list while we were there was to tour Maui Gold Pineapple.
Maui Gold Pineapple offers a variety of tour options, including the opportunity to try out their distillery offerings. We opted for the standard 1.5 hour pineapple tour and couldn’t have been happier with how it went. Your tour begins as you board the Maui Gold bus and head out to the fields to see first hand where the pineapples grow.
Our tour guide was so knowledgable and knew everything there was to know about pineapples. We visited 2 different growing areas and saw little pineapples in the field before visiting pineapples that were ready for harvesting.
The small size of our tour really allowed plenty of time for questions and lots of pineapple samples. At our second stop our guide plucked pineapples right from the field for us to taste.
The pineapple was so sweet and our guide was amazing when it came to letting us eat and eat and eat. Between the 20 people on the tour, we probably devoured close to 20 pineapples. Fun fact, Maui Gold operates the ONLY pineapple tour in the United States!
Once we finished up touring the pineapple field, we headed in to the factory to see the facilities where the pineapples are packaged and shipped. One of our favorite parts of the tour, ever person gets to take a pineapple home with them! What an awesome souvenir to bring home.
I’ve never tasted anything so sweet before. The texture, the smell and just how sweet it is when it touches your tongue is pretty unbelievable. My 8 year old could finish 1 on her own. It was so good that we brought home some with us to California! I can’t wait to go back to Maui again to have the best pineapple I’ve ever had???
