As we are getting ready for our first camping trip in the new pop up, I’m busy prepping food and drinks! I whipped up these easy on-the-go bottles of Sangria to take with us on our maiden voyage.
My first recipe was a Strawberry Lime Sangria. I started with an empty Ginger Limeade bottle from Califia Farms. I’m pretty much obsessed with this stuff and have empty bottles at least once a week. I figured it was a good way to reuse it before I tossed it in the recycle bin. If you don’t have a few dozen of these bottles laying around, you can grab your own container. This one holds 48oz so that will give you an idea of how big of a bottle you’ll want for your Sangria.
- Fill bottle 1/3 with sliced strawberries.
- Add 1 cup vodka.
- Fill to top with white wine.
- Chill in the fridge for a day or two until you’re ready to serve.
- Fill your glass with 1/2 of your Sangria mix and 1/2 LaCroix Lime and enjoy.
The second Sangria I made was a pineapple coconut. I made it with fresh pineapple, but you could easily use canned. Make sure you put a little of the juice in with the fruit to add a little sweetness to the Sangria.
- Fill bottle 1/3 with cubed pineapple.
- Add 1 cup of coconut flavored vodka.
- Fill to top with white wine.
- Chill in the fridge for a day or two until you’re ready to serve.
- Fill your glass with 1/2 of your Sangria mix and 1/2 LaCroix Coconut and enjoy.
And there you have it! Two easy to make and easy to transport bottles of Sangria ready to take with us on our weekend camping trip.
