Oh how I love you my son. You are so kind and generous and wise beyond your years. I’m thankful every day to have a child as loving as you.
You continue to love elephants and playing soccer and building with Legos. You’ve started to sound out words and you’re beginning to read on your own. In 3 days you’ll start Kindergarten and embark on a formal education that will carry you through many years. I’m excited for you and a little sad all at the same time. I like having you around and the thought of you being gone all day makes me miss you just thinking about it.
Words cannot express how proud I am of you every single day. I am in constant awe of the way you play with your sister with love and compassion, the way you create and draw with your explosive imagination, the way you listen and learn with explicit intent. You are truly just a wonderful person.
It’s hard to believe 6 years have passed since you came into this world and my life has been all the better ever since. Happy birthday my darling little boy.
